Passion for the greats

Michael has been dedicated to his style of music for many years and has had a passion to pay tribute to the many greats, such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Matt Monro, Mel Torme, and many more.

Born in Leeds, West Yorkshire, Michael launched his career after studying at The Leeds College of Music. Having gained first class honours for his musical ability, playing piano and guitar, he embarked on becoming band leader for his six-piece band touring the Warner circuit at the tender age of twenty. As the MD of the band, he not only played but wrote most of the arrangements (up to ten piece bands) as well as having to MD for any visiting cabaret artist. Eventually his performance skills got the better of him and he decided to go solo with his singing career. Since then he has not looked back, and has appeared on a variety of shows and cruises regularly aboard the worlds' luxury liners.

With twenty-five years of experience behind him, Michael knows exactly how to entertain an audience, and what is required of him, especially within the cruising industry, equally capable of performing with a live band or with his own music.
